You can enjoy almost anything in moderation and still lose weight. The problem comes when your favorite foods are so calorie dense that it’s hard to eat enough of them to enjoy, while staying on track with your diet. The good news is, there ARE  tasty options you can have without fear of an immediate boost in body fat. Here are a few sweet tasting foods that you can fit in with almost any diet, no matter how low your calories are.

1. Dannon Light & Fit Greek Yogurt

dannon light and fitThis is great for breakfast, dessert, or a snack on the go. You can add more volume to this guilt-free treat by mixing in low fat granola, nuts, or fruit. Many Greek yogurts are too high in carbohydrates for dieters, but Dannon’s Light & Fit product line has even more protein than carbs per serving. And they have absolutely zero fat.

2. Skinny Cow desserts

These treats are not only delicious, but they are low in fat and calories. In fact, my personal favorite Skinny Cow ice cream bar has only 100 calories and only 2.5 grams of fat!

3. Yasso Frozen Greek Yogurt Bars

Think of these bars as a combination of the two goodies mentioned above.  They have the nutrition of Greek yogurt, but the look and taste of an ice cream bar. They come in a variety of fat-free flavors, and one bar has as much protein as an egg. If you are craving ice cream, this could be your go-to snack to fill that craving without killing your diet.

4. Fiber One Cereal

Who says cereals are just full of sugar and have no nutritional value? Fiber One cereals have anywhere from 9-14 grams of fiber per serving! They taste amazing too. Try the honey clusters, honey squares, or the chocolate (my personal favorite). You’ll trick your taste buds into thinking you’re eating a bowl of CoCoa Puffs.

It always helps to have tasty foods in your diet to prevent binging, keep you on track with your fat loss, and simply enjoy social events and everyday life.  It’s true: you can literally have your cake and eat it too!
