3 Reasons You’re Avoiding Training, & How to Fix It!

So you’re signed up for your class and you have every intention of making it to the gym and you’ve been excited to get started and stay consistent, awesome!

But then something comes up and you say to yourself “I can’t possibly workout tonight because …….”

It’s not as uncommon as you may think, and the reasons seem to mostly boil down to 3 big topics: Here’s what they are, and how to avoid them!

1. “I’m Too Tired”

Maybe you had a long day, work was stressful and the kids have you running around like crazy.

Or maybe you had a few tests in school today and your coach was pretty intense at practice and you just can’t even imagine training tonight.

That’s life, it happens all the time and it’s completely understandable.

How To Avoid This:

Even though it’s understandable to be tired, it’s not a reason to consistently miss workouts and here’s why!

The hardest thing to do is get yourself through the doors on days like these. If you can get enough motivation to get into the gym, the coaches and fellow members will do the rest for you.

With having your workout already planned out and even weight selection decided, and the external motivation of your peers, the workout will be a breeze, you just have to get through the door.

2. “I’m Injured”

Life happens and injuries happen no matter how small or big they are.

Whether you stubbed your toe, sprained your ankle, or closed your fingers in the door, you’re in some pain. You are sidelined by this injury and just don’t think you can train.

How to Avoid This:

With our coach to athlete ratio, there’s no reason to miss a session due to injury!

Is it a foot injury? Okay we’ll train all upper body and single leg exercises on your unaffected side.

How about an upper body injury? We can crush some lower body exercises as well as single arm movements on the uninjured side.

There are plenty of options and coaches more than willing to deliver a great workout no matter what the circumstances.

3. “I Don’t Have Time”

You have work or school all day and sometimes you go in early or stay late, then you have practice or need to carpool kids around, and don’t forget about cooking dinner and getting to bed at a reasonable hour.

You just have so much going on, and not enough hours in the day!

How to Avoid This:

Good thing we’re open 7 days a week and have classes as early as 5am and as late as 8pm, you have plenty of options and with enough willpower you can find a class that fits even the busiest of schedules!
